General Information

Requesting a Walk Through - As with any choice in life, sometimes it's nice to look at the options before making a decision. Archbishop Damiano School is happy to set up visits for district personnel and/or perspective parents. To schedule a visit contact the Principal, Michele McCloskey at 856-848-4700, extension 1150.

Referrals - Archbishop Damiano School is current accepting referrals for all grade levels. Referrals should be directed to the Principal, Michele McCloskey at 856-848-4700, extension 1150.

Scheduling Observations, Evaluations or Meetings - To schedule an observation, evaluation session, or meeting for a district student enrolled in Archbishop Damiano School contact the program secretary at 856-848-4700, extension 1208 or extension 1107.

Tuition/Contract Questions - Sending districts with tuition or contract questions should contact Jane Gaudreau, finance secretary, at 856-848-4700 x1105 or by e-mail at . The  2019 - 2020 tuition rate, is $271.16 per diem. The 1:1 assistant rate is $172.02 per diem. Our tuition rate remains among the lowest in New Jersey for an approved school for students with disabilities, making Archbishop Damiano School a cost effective option.

Connectivity - The Westville Grove campus has full wireless coverage. While on campus if you need to connect with your district's network, or find information on the Internet, you will be able to log in to our network as a guest. Please contact Supervisor, Hannah Sykes (x1134), for the log on password. Guest passwords are time limited, so make sure to check with Ms. Sykes to make sure that you have the latest password.



The purpose of our admission process is to insure that Archbishop Damiano School can meet the unique needs of each student seeking admission. Archbishop Damiano School serves students, ages 3 - 21, with various educational classifications. All of our students have moderate to severe cognitive disabilities. In addition, some of our students have significant medical challenges, some have orthopedic issues, and others have rare genetic conditions. All of our current students were referred by their local school districts. Sending districts are responsible for tuition and transportation for students they refer.

Prior to making a formal application for admissions, sometimes parents or district personnel wish to visit the school. Pre-admission visits are helpful in determining if the school is appropriate for the student. Visits can be setup by either using the admission request form or by contacting the principal, Michele McCloskey, at 856-848-4700, extension 1150.

Admission Instructions for Sending Districts

In order to begin the admissions process, the following information is requested prior to scheduling an intake visit:

  • Submit an Admission Request form. The form is available at the link below. Alternatively, a letter can be mailed requesting placement. The letter should include the student's name, age and grade, the parents name, address and telephone number, as well as the district's case manager's name and telephone number.  
  • The most recent IEP (if available).   
  • The most recent evaluations.

Once the referral information has been received, an intake visit will be scheduled. At minimum, the parent/guardian and the prospective student should attend the intake visit. The district case manager and other interested parties are also welcome to attend.

Within 24 hours of the intake visit, the decision is made regarding acceptance. Acceptance or non-acceptance is communicated to the district case manager.

Transportation Calendar

Morning drop off is 8:45 - 9:00. Dismissal is from 2:45 - 3:00.
