Staff kick off the a new year with a Disney-themed Annual Day of Renewal.

Stepping into the ADS Gym, SJOGCS staff members were transported to “The Happiest Place on Earth,” as part of this year’s, Disney-inspired Annual Day of Renewal.

Staff arrived early donning their favorite Disney wear in celebration of this year’s theme, “The Most Magical Year is Yet to Come.”

After a continental breakfast, Annual Day of Renewal opened with an address from Director of Community Relations for the Diocese of Camden, Msgr. Michael Mannion. His remarks were then followed by an impactful reading of a testimony from AJ Steen, the parent of former ADS student, Bryan Steen.

As the day progressed, staff also got the chance to compete in some friendly competition as teams formed a chain and worked together on passing themselves through hula hoops in hopes of scoring some free lunch passes for the Granada room. As the afternoon winded down, staff also had the chance to connect with others from every service during a small group team-building exercise, which allowed staff to share experiences and pass words of inspiration to one another.

With all speeches, games, and activities, the celebration of the coworker was apparent in all things. More than 20 staff members were honored for reaching milestone years in their tenure. During lunch time, the staff was even treated to a guest appearance by none other than Mickey and Minnie Mouse and, later, a video montage of the students, adults, children and staff in every service.

Before the staff broke for the day, the more than 180 coworkers met at the top of the ADS circle for a group photo to commemorate their time together.

SJOGCS would like to thank everyone who played a part in making the “magic” of this year’s Annual Day of Renewal a reality for all.
