Even a Nor’ ester couldn’t keep St. John of God Community Services from celebrating Hospitality Week this year.

Usually observed the week of St. John of God’s Feast ‘s Day, this year's celebration was postponed due to a power outage on campus from a storm the weekend before.

However, on Tuesday, Hospitality Week was in full swing with a luncheon for the volunteers who dedicate hours of their time each week to the services.

After braving another storm that closed the campus for two days, Hospitality Week kicked back into swing with a fully catered breakfast for the staff and rolls and gifts for everyone on campus.

With a few minor pushbacks, the festivities even continued throughout the following week with a number of the adult members joining SJOGCS for a trip to Lancaster to the “Sight and Sound” theater.

Students, HWG children and adult services members were also treated to a pizza party the following Wednesday.
