JoAnn has been working with children with special needs for over twenty years.  She affirmed her career choice of speech-language pathologist, while working part-time as a teaching assistant in a home-based program with a 19 year old child with autism.  This change in major enabled her to combine her passion for the medical field with her love of teaching.  She completed her graduate studies at West Chester University, and began working for St. John of God Community Services in 1998, a place where her values for compassion, respect and continuing education continue to flourish until the present day.  Becoming a parent herself in 2002 further enriched her commitment and dedication to her field of interest, expertise and those that she continues to serve.  JoAnn continues to enjoy sharing her gifts with others, while learning from the rich and diverse community and environment in which she works, believing that each day is an opportunity to grow in faith, hope, wisdom and knowledge from all with whom you interact.
