Occupational Therapy is Yvonne's second career. Her first was mother to two daughters and wife for 19 years. Widoed at 38 years of age, she had already started to think about returning to college as her children were almost grown. She completed her prerequiste courses at Gloucester Community College, keeping in close contact with Jefferson University as to what would be required to be accepted into the Occupational Therapy program. After graduating in 1997, she worked for Gloucester County Special Services and then Deptford Special Services, working with a wide range of ages and abilities, until coming to SJOG in 2003..Life experience as mother and grandmother, as well as working with children in church groups, girl scouts and neighborhood activities have contributed to her knowledge and love of working with children and families.

Yvonne also enjoys gardening, (flowers more than vegetables!), reading, grandchildren, hiking, good times with friends and church.
